iOS and Android app for football leagues among friends
iOS and Android app for amateur football leagues between friends that arrived unfinished from another provider. We completed it and published it on the App Store and Google Play.
Context
Friends Leagues lets friends create amateur football leagues, with seasons, matches, call-ups, votes and a treasury. The mobile app came to us unfinished after a problem with its previous provider. We completed it and took it to the stores.
The challenge
Inheriting a half-built product is harder than starting from scratch. The app came with another team's code, no documentation and half-finished screens, and it had to fit the existing backend and website. The client had already lost time and money. They needed to know what could be kept, what had to be redone and when it would be in the stores.
The work
- 01Audit of the app's code to separate what could be kept from what had to be rebuilt.
- 02The missing screens and flows in React Native, squad, call-ups, standings and treasury, integrated with the existing backend.
- 03Store requirements, tracking consent on iOS, analytics and error monitoring.
- 04Publication on the App Store and Google Play.
Outcome
The client recovered an investment that had stalled. The app is live on the App Store and Google Play, with leagues and users playing every week and the top rating on the App Store.
