New agency panel
New management panel for the real estate agencies of Fotocasa, at Adevinta. End-to-end features, refactoring with tests and continuous integration.
Context
Adevinta Spain is the group behind the marketplaces Fotocasa, InfoJobs, Milanuncios, coches.net and habitaclia. Fotocasa is the leading property portal for buying and renting homes in Spain and Andorra.
The challenge
Develop the new management panel for real estate agencies, the tool they use to publish and manage their listings, inside a large team with a code review culture and continuous deployment.
The work
- 01Defined and developed panel features end to end, as well as maintaining and refactoring code with test coverage.
- 02Drove code and tooling improvement initiatives in a team with a review and feedback culture, alongside Miguel Ángel Durán (midudev).
- 03Took part in continuous integration and observability with Travis, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions and Datadog.
Outcome
A new panel in production for the portal's agencies, with features delivered from start to finish and a tested codebase the team can keep evolving.
